“How can Ann Jones be a widow before her husband is even dead?”

Ann Jones knows the difference between a daydream, a fantasy, and a vision.

She’s a decent, middle-class mom with a respectable husband and two kids.

And a “wild imagination.”

But what kind of decent woman imagines her husband dead, a relocation across the country, a new career, the perfect boyfriend, and most importantly, Knitting Club?

Not just any old Knitting Club. This one has rules—not one of them concerns knitting.

Ann listens to the club members’ stories, becomes entangled in their lives, obeys their rules, and keeps her suspicions to herself.

So what happens when she wakes up?

Review:

The Future Memoir of Ann Jones by Alex Bailey is an excellent original story that will have readers wanting more from this talented, one of a kind author. The story starts with Ann Jones, an average woman with a husband and two children. Ann has a peculiar vision of her future. In it, her husband dies, she relocates to the small East Coast town of Burrburgh, eventually begins a new career and finds a new love. She joins a local knitting club that has strict and strange rules. Although she is excited and thrilled to join the club, it is not what it seems. The conversations in which the women engage in are mysterious and somewhat nefarious. As peculiar as the knitting club is, Ann continues to be a part of the group of widowed women and becomes entwined within their lives.

This story is enchanting and charming. With a notable quirky cast of characters, readers will be delighted and thrilled as they read along and become engaged with the storyline and plot. The ability of the author to write a humorous feel good romance story that is clouded by a dark theme shows the brilliant talent of an amazing writer. It is a dark comedy about new beginnings and the promise of new friendships with shared experiences.

It starts out as a lighthearted humorous story but quickly turns into a more sinister and mysterious tale. It is thought provoking, powerful and very entertaining. It is one of the best books in its genre that I have read in some time. I couldn’t put it down and read on quickly to find out what would happen next.
