The characters are exceptional and multifaceted. I was amazed at the detail put into the developing of the characters. I felt that I knew them personally and was attached to their lives. Helene Fermont has created a set of characters that span generations. I loved Hannah and Ben and their lives and love story. Some of the characters are not so likable – on purpose. But they are needed and welcomed into the storyline. And Fermont gives us an explanation into why the bad characters are bad-it stems from their own life experiences. Which makes perfect sense. If a person has never been loved, how can they care for and love others? The psychology that went into this story makes it that much more compelling and engaging.
Because of You by Helene Fermont is a beautiful saga about living a life that is filled with love, happiness, emotion, darkness and destiny. It is very realistic and captivating. Because of You seized my heart and fascinated me from the beginning to the satisfying and fulfilling end. Being true to life with all of its trials, triumphs, ups and downs, I could totally relate.
Because of You is one of those books that I would read again. I highly recommend this beautiful epic story about life, hardship, romance, love and destiny.
