Set in Jackson, Mississippi, this compelling page-turner follows a young Christian minister as he develops in his calling and personal life.

After the death of his wife, Jack Riley tries to cope without her by his side. With the help of his family, he hopes to provide his ten-month-old son with the care and love that he needs. Many people around Jack are already suggesting that he moves on. He is, however, skeptical that he is ready for another relationship. On a beautiful day before the start of his seminary classes, Jack spots a beautiful woman. Cynthia happens to know him and they become acquainted. A chance meeting later develops the initial spark that began at the park but misunderstandings drive them apart. As they both try to move on, their paths lead to each other once again.

The conversations in So Much Better Your Way: Signed Jack are laced with humor which makes them entertaining. The biblical theme of redemption is also skillfully explored through Jack and Cynthia’s lives. Even though their backgrounds are blemished, God continues to guide and work in them. Supporting characters also add to the book’s themes. Though the characters’ lives are fraught with challenges and mistakes, God’s loving plan in their lives is apparent. Theresa A. Laws is an excellent writer and storyteller. She has created wonderful well-developed characters and an original storyline which will surely captivate and engage readers from start to finish.
