Jacquel Clark has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and an MBA from Stetson University. Additionally, she is a Certified Business Professional and a retired Certified Treasury Professional. After managing the accounting department for a Fortune 500 Florida-based company for a decade, she began to explore treasury, financial, and strategic management within the company. This is where she developed her love of teaching and writing. Her dedication to Corporate America for over 25 years is a testament to her commitment to her profession. She retired to become a consultant, but her dedication remains.
As the Vice President and Treasurer for her financial services consulting firm, she designed and facilitated adult educational courses on various financial and accounting topics. Through seminars, workshops, conferences, specialized on-site training, and online sessions, she instructed thousands of business professionals and authored several articles published in academic journals. This is where she developed her love of writing.
She has since retired from traveling, which is required by consulting. Currently, she provides college students with opportunities to master the skills needed to succeed in future college work and the business world. She teaches accounting and business-related subjects.
In 2015, she wrote her first novel, The Lethal Equation. According to a Blue Ink Review, this mesmerizing supernatural mystery teases readers with an eerie tale of a 59-year-old woman tasked with collecting evil souls for hell.
In 2023, she wrote the first novel in a series of detective novels, The Black-Eyed Baby. According to a Kirkus Review, readers will be thrilled by this suspenseful, southern Florida-set mystery that’s well-written, intelligently crafted, and features a relatable and resilient detective. The second novel in the series, The Hidden Burglar, was released in 2024. According to a Chick Lit Book Cafe’s Review, this is a gripping murder mystery with an incredible whodunnit plot line and an epic crime scene that will have readers thinking, guessing, and completely captivated.
