Janis Hutchinson lives in Everett, WA, and is an award-winning writer of both fiction and nonfiction for the Christian market, and selected as “Writer of the Year” (2008) by the American Christian Writers Association. Her books include The Joshua Project: Three overlooked biblical strategies for parents and grandparents to strengthen their family’s faith which has won the CLC Book Excellence Award for best Christian Nonfiction by Chick Lit Café Books & Reviews .  Both “Out of the Cults and Into the Church: Understanding and Encouraging Ex-Cultists,” and “The Mormon Missionaries: An Inside Look at Their Real Message and Methods” were awarded the “Seal of Approval for Outstanding Read” by Faithwriters.com. Her historical suspense thriller, Unfinished Justice, is inspired by a true story, witnessed by the author first-hand. She also publishes numerous articles on Christian and Mormon topics on her blog. She speaks at churches, and is a frequent guest on Christian TV and radio where she shares her thirty-five years in the Mormon Church; also, her personal experience of being held prisoner by a radical offshoot of the Mormon Church, and how God enabled her escape.
