Julianne Garvoli is content with her life as a pediatric nurse at a major metropolitan hospital. She is following her every dream, or so she believes. After her idyllic world is shattered, she must reconcile her lost past to rediscover her deepest passion.

Jokob O’Callaghan, a world-renowned photographer, lives a life most could only imagine with his life-love, Keara—until cancer delivers a direct and devastating slam. He walls himself off, focusing solely on his art.

When one of Jokob’s photos brings them together, even love may not be enough to keep them that way. Tragic circumstances and long silent dreams work to sever their bond. Can they each find a way to heal, love, and follow dreams together?

Review

The Art of Healing is a very touching and moving story. It follows the life of Julianne Garvoli, a pediatric nurse. With her life on track, she is about to celebrate her five year first date anniversary, when her husband ups and walks out on her. Feeling devastated, Julianne goes home to her mother and father. There, in their religious home, she finds some much needed counsel and comfort.
But her heart is severed and broken. Will she ever be whole again?

When she meets Jokob O’Callaghan, a renowned photographer, she finds a friend that is also whirling in pain from loss. Through much sorrow and turmoil, together they begin a journey of healing, romance and love. But it isn’t easy for either of them. They each have so much to overcome and the bond between them will either be broken, or strengthened.

The Art of Healing is an in-depth look at death, loss, love and healing. It is a novel about two people that both experience some of life’s hardest blows.

I loved this story. I laughed and cried, as the endearing characters struggle to trust and love again. I was able to connect with both characters, each in different ways, but deeply all the same.

The, absorbing storyline is one that many people will relate to. It is written in a heartfelt, easy to read manner.
While the characters are very realistic and multifaceted, they live life in a simplistic manner. I enjoyed that fact very much, as I love the simple pleasures of life.

Jeanne Felfe has a way with words that will keep the reader wanting to turn the pages quickly, while savoring each word along the way.  Feeling the emotions of the two people in this story that are going through a deep healing experience, I, myself, was undone and put back together again, while reading this deeply moving novel. My heart broke and my heart healed.

The plot, characters and dialog are all meaningful, realistic, and fresh, as well.
With a rather surprising ending, I felt very satisfied and full of hope and strength.
This is a very inspirational read, and I highly recommend it to those that love an exceptionally sentimental story.

The Art of Healing by Jeanne Felfe is a thought provoking read that will grip your soul and leave you convinced, content and maybe even a little restored. I love books where I come away feeling like I was counseled and healed. The Art of Healing did just that for me.
