Enchanting, Romantic, Mysterious

Anna Miller loses her father and mother, both, to death within less than two years’ time. Devastated and saddened, she must go back to her parents’ home to sort out their family belongings. It’s there and then that she discovers a box that belonged to her father. The contents reveal some research on his family history that he was working on. Anna decides to continue her father’s investigation and discovers a mysterious family secret and her Icelandic roots. Led to a small town in Wyoming, Anna follows the clues. In Wyoming she meets a handsome rancher and begins to fall in love. It comes about that Anna may have to choose between her family and her new found love.

Her Viking Heart by Heidi Herman is filled with twists and turns. It’s an exciting and intense romance story. There are many secrets to be unraveled and a mystery to be solved. Readers will be taken on an unbelievable journey that will lead them to want more and more. I loved this novel and couldn’t put it down. It is a real page turner.

The characters are realistic and well developed with personalities that are likeable and relatable. Anna, in particular, is a great character. I really came to care about her and was rooting for her throughout the engaging story. Her Viking Heart is filled with emotion. This tale is enchanting, with the Icelandic Viking heritage interwoven within the story. It is very well researched and interesting, as well.

Her Viking Heart is a romantic story with historical emphasis. The mystery aspect will keep readers engaged and entertained. It’s an incredible story with an excellent conclusion. The descriptive writing had me visualizing the scenery and countryside. This is a very well written novel by an excellent writer-Heidi Herman. It’s one of the best books I have read in quite a while.
