Asya in the Tilt of the World by Effie Molina
Synopsis:
Asya Hart’s simple human existence ends forever the night she meets Christian and James, two beautiful vampires bonded to each other and united in their mission to find The One who is destined to Balance the Tilt of the World–in other words, heal humanity and the planet. When Asya is compelled to use a healing power she never knew she possessed on the Grandfather of the Blood Community, Christian and James are commanded to bring Asya into The Blood, and the prophecy is set in motion. Asya learns that she and the rest of her family are all vampires, and that it wasn’t until her blood was raised that she became her full self. Asya is destined to save humanity, but she has no idea how she is supposed to do that! As if the expectations on her aren’t daunting enough, she finds herself hunted, an unwelcome symbol of change within the vampire community. Vampires lifespans are linked with humanity: the more chaos and negativity within humans, the longer vampires live. Asya finds herself in the minority, a vampire who believes that working to heal humanity is the right and necessary thing to do, despite the personal consequences. There are those who don’t appreciate Asya’s selflessness, and for them the solution is simple: get rid of her before her revolutionary ideas take hold. In the midst of it all is love, and Asya struggles to not let it distract her. Christian and James are a bonded couple, and Asya has joined them. Asya is drawn to them in ways she has never felt before, but does she really have the luxury of first love? Asya finds herself on the crossroads. Who is she in this new world? And can she truly be who people expect her to be?
Review:
How tough can it be for one young woman, Asya Hart, to repair all of the Earth and its inhabitants with a virtue she never even knew existed from within herself? By becoming fully what she already truly was: a vampire. Her revelation finally coming forth after being brought into The Blood by two intriguing and entwined male vampires that are assigned to serve and care for Asya. She learns quickly she must embrace these two and trust this beautiful and seductive couple, hoping to find vision and understanding to her awaited destiny. She is undoubtedly drawn to them like a moth to a flame. And now she has curative skills to help heal Grandfather, the patriarch of the vampires. With such a heavy cross (no pun intended) to bear, Asya is also hated for her amiable beliefs that healing humans is necessary, even if it impacts vampire eternal existence.
Sexy and provocative, Asya in the Tilt of the World, kept my heart racing with Effie Molina’s descriptive and enticingly vivid scenes between her characters. Never did I think drinking others blood could be described so passionately, so ravishing and believe it or not appetizing, until reading this book! Outstanding foreshadowing with a well-developed plot throughout, my pulse was always at a heightened speed while engaged with this story – never wanting to put it down.
Asya in The Tilt of the World by Effie Molina is dark and romantic. Its characters are alluring each in their own way and with their own charming style. It definitely kept me interested and entranced the whole way through. Aysa’s ever evolving growth shines through distinctively over the span of the story making her character relatable and likable. I would definitely recommend Asya in the Tilt of the World to all supernatural or otherworldly readers. This was unquestionably a terrific success by an excellent author, Effie Molina.
