Some people say they live paycheck-to-paycheck. My finances were so out of control, I was living paycheck-to-money-running-low before the next paycheck! I realize abruptly resigning from my job the day after being diagnosed with breast cancer didn’t help matters. But that diagnosis let me know the stress of that job was literally killing me! Later, going deeper into a financial valley, I felt I had no choice but to file bankruptcy. So here I was…I’d hit financial “rock bottom!”
But God…In January 2019, I chose to meditate on the two scriptures above. I activated my faith and took God at His Word. And it WORKED!! Consistently returning God’s Word back to Him caused my financial situation to make a “miraculous” 180-degree turn. I BELIEVED and I SPOKE! And God honored His Word. Scripture Romans 2:11 tells us, “For there is no respect of persons with God.” God has no “favorites.” If YOU believe and speak…He can do the same for you!

Tammy McBride opens her soul and lays her life bare for all to read in her inspiring memoir. She talks about her debt, illnesses, and work stresses and how she was brought to the very lowest point in her life before she fell to her knees and reached out to God with an ‘enough is enough’ prayer. Through reading various books on living a Biblical life today that all line up Biblically, (and especially on how powerful God tells us our words are), she begins to live a life with increased faith. She explains how she went from bankruptcy to prosperity in an endearing and gentle manner that touched me. Her life experiences are moving and inspiring and I couldn’t put the book down until I’d turned the last page. For each point, McBride has included the Scriptures that confirm God’s Word on the topics.
Very Biblically sound, The Word Works has inspired me to seek God for a real lasting change in my life. I have already purchased one of McBride’s recommendations for further learning and have added the other two to my ‘to be read’ list! This very inspirational Christian memoir/Christian Living Guidebook comes very highly recommended by Chick Lit Café. It’s a book filled with nuggets of gold from the Word of God. It’s a book to treasure and read again and again – and to pass on to your family and friends. They too can learn the importance of our spoken words, and how speaking God’s promises out loud over ourselves and our loved ones, that miracles can and do happen.
