If you’re a fan of the good vs. evil fantasy trope, then you’ll love Eric Swanson’s dark fantasy thriller, Jorsa! The storyline is as swift and strong as its elven hero.
Not your typical elf, blue-skinned Jorsa finds that he’s in the middle of something bigger than himself as he battles with love, war, and unanswered questions. When his loved ones get kidnapped by the cruel Tilif, Jorsa is at a loss, but this strong character is determined not to give up. Through the aid of his oddball companion, Lef, Jorsa hopes to beat the odds and win his friends back before Tilif’s greater plot unfolds. But they’ll have to face his fair share of unpleasant goblins and their sinister stone copies—poliths—before that can happen.
Eric Swanson brilliantly writes in the light of Lord of The Rings; its similar fantasy theme mixed and image of good vs. evil rings throughout all of Jorsa’s pages. Though it’s similar, it’s still incredibly unique as it centers around Jorsa and contains strong notes of romance. Though Jorsa may be a warrior elf, his feelings and outlook are very relatable to readers. The writing completely sucks you in with the intense plot and detailed elements.
This is a story for any lover of fantasy. Swanson’s writing and beautifully sculpted fantasy world create the perfect portrait for a great book. So don’t wait!
