Synopsis:

Mel Worthington wasn’t sure what he’d find when he went over the edge into Fairyland. There he was amazed to discover his mother was revered as a goddess known as the Diamond Queen. Mel has a rightful claim to the throne, but his fierce bodyguard assigned to guide him in this world, has a claim of her own.

Riley Evensong knows it’s her destiny to rule Eldenfair and is suspicious of this human who’s been asked over by the reigning king to help solve a technical problem. A strange social media fad called Flitter has all the young fae enchanted and is causing havoc, but this is only the beginning of the evil spells drifting in from the Other Side.

Riley must put aside her resentment of Mel, and Mel must come to terms with his emerging magic so together they can save Fairy tales from becoming warped beyond recognition.

Oh, and there’s a talking animal sidekick, of course.

Review:

In a world of bright and bold imagery, Fairyland is the backdrop to a story about the journey of two people from very different worlds paired together and chosen to resolve an unknown conflict in such a vivid setting. Palace guard Riley is the guide for human visitor Mel Worthington. While unicorns roam freely in this polished and brilliant tale, it seems to be quite a large task to keep the rules of Convention intact and very important as well. A proper introduction and meeting with the King sends Riley on her own intended mission of studying the mysterious new fad, presenting itself in the form of what could be a phone or laptop device that has overtaken and infatuated their youth.

Enchanting and magical, Over The Edge by Jane Tesh held a sort of bewitching aura that was felt throughout the book. Jane Tesh’s characters were uncanny and very likeable, humorous at times and also very witty. I enjoyed how she described their setting with great detail creating a very real picture in my mind. A remarkable novel that I could really get lost in every time I picked it up.

I would describe Over The Edge to be unique and original, unlike any story I have read before, which was very refreshing. Exceptionally imaginative and artistic, I would recommend Over The Edge by Jane Tesh to anyone looking for an enthralling book that will immediately draw them in and keep them for the entire ride. Very impressed and satisfied with this one and I would even consider a second read.
